Warwick 2010 Star Bass II SC Germany Flamed Maple Satin w/ Orig Flight Case & Box

Here we have a Warwick Star Bass II SC in flamed maple with a satin finish - a neck-through single-cutaway semi-hollow bass built in Germany. The combination of a flamed maple top and body with a wenge or ovangkol neck — typical of German Warwick production — produces a bright, focused midrange with strong note definition and sustain. It is like a vintage Gibson bass on steroids.  The semi-hollow construction adds a degree of warmth and acoustic resonance that a fully solid body wouldn't yield, while the single-cutaway offset body shape keeps the instrument balanced and comfortable. This example is in excellent condition overall.

The Star Bass II is part of Warwick's premium German-made lineup, distinct from the Rockbass series that is built in Asia. Warwick began producing the Star Bass in the early 2000s as a nod to the semi-hollow electric bass tradition. The flamed maple satin variant is among the more visually distinctive configurations in the Star Bass lineup, and German-made Warwicks consistently hold value and player interest for good reason. These instruments are not commonly found used in this condition.

We see no significant issues with this bass. There are the expected very light handling marks consistent with careful use, but nothing that affects structural integrity or playability. All hardware and electronics appear original and function correctly. There are no cracks, repairs, fret issues, or replaced components. The satin finish is intact. There is some light discoloration around the edges of the top and back binding that looks like glue reacting with the finish.  This is a factory remnant and something that you can only see under very close inspection.  

The bass will ship in its original flight case.  There is one small dent in the case from previous shipping.  The case is heavy, so shipping will be a little bit high on this instrument.
