I put the Two-Rock Studio Overdrive combo on order back in early February and pre-sold it to a customer.  When it came in we got our ears on it and I was blown away - very, very pleasantly surprised.  I rolled the dice on the blue tolex/blue chassis combo.  It isn't for everyone, but they matched really well and I think it looks awesome!

The amp is small but beefy - a hand-wired, two-channel setup that is both manageable and incredibly capable.  The overdrive can go from pushed to searing, and you can get it down to incredibly low volumes.  The clean is full and rich.  This amp does it all.  The effects loop offers various levels of attenuation or boost by tweaking the send and return levels.  

If you buy this one, we'll ship it when it arrives.  We expect delivery in the fall of 2026.  We can order one with numerous tolex and grille options.  Let us know if you'd like a custom order quote.

Two-Rock introduced the Studio Overdrive at NAMM 2026 as the entry point into the Two-Rock world — a compact tube amp designed to be authoritative and dimensional even at lower volumes, and intentionally the most gain-heavy build Two-Rock has offered in the Studio format. Co-owner Eli Lester personally tests every build before it leaves the shop — the same hands-on quality control that has defined Two-Rock's reputation since the company's founding in Rohnert Park, California.

The clean channel is open and immediate, with a firm low end and clear top that tracks pick attack and guitar volume with ease. This is the Two-Rock characteristic that players and reviewers describe first and return to most consistently — the dynamic sensitivity of the clean channel that makes the amp feel like an extension of the instrument rather than a fixed signal processor. The cascading overdrive channel is tuned for clarity and definition, allowing individual notes to remain distinct as gain increases. Two independent master volumes allow the clean and lead levels to be balanced independently, and a tube-buffered effects loop maintains tonal integrity and dynamic response when using time-based effects.

35 watts from two 5881 tubes in fixed bias, four 12AX7 preamp tubes driving the clean and lead channels, with a phase inverter — the full tube complement of a serious professional amplifier in a compact 1x12 combo format. Controls include Gain, Treble, Middle, Bass, Lead Gain, Lead Master, Master, and Presence, with Bright, Middle, Deep, Bypass, and Lead switches, and a 2-button footswitch for lead channel and tone stack bypass switching is included. Blue chassis and blue tolex — the specific cosmetic configuration that distinguishes this example from the black bronco version. Brand new, unplayed.

Amplifiers: We take additional precautions to prevent common shipping damage. Depending on the amp, this may include removing tubes, pulling the chassis from the cabinet if heavy transformers present a drop risk, or removing heavy speakers that could crack baffles in transit. Reassembly is required on delivery — we label everything clearly. These measures add to shipping costs but reflect hard-won experience. All amps are tested in our shop upon intake and again before shipping. We cover shipping damage but cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in instruments that are 20 to 50-plus years old.
