This Silvertone Jupiter arrived this week from a friend who brings us lots of great gear.
In nicer condition than most, it also plays very well and the original case included.
The only changed part is the base of the adjustable bridge. Everything else is in excellent working order. The fretboard shows a little pitting in the lower register and the frets are worn in this area as well. The wear does not impact playability.
The control setup on this model is interesting. The switch offers either the neck or bridge pickup, giving you volume and tone control over each. The Blend position allows both pickups to be used simultaneously, with one blend knob allowing adjustment from neck to bridge pickups or a gradual blend from one to the other. In the blend setting there is no tone control. While it would be nice to adjust tone in the blend setting, this config does allow for a wide range of sounds from the DeArmond pickups.
