Recording King RR-50-VS Round Neck Resonator Guitar w/ Hard Case

The Recording King RR-50-VS is an all-mahogany round-neck resonator in a single-cone spider bridge configuration. The mahogany top, back, and sides in a body this size and depth — 14" lower bout, 3-5/8" deep — produces a warm, focused resonator voice with midrange presence. The spider bridge with its ebony and maple saddle transfers vibration efficiently to the cone, and the 25.5" scale with 1-11/16" nut width makes this a comfortable player whether you're running standard tuning or an open slide tuning. Overall condition is excellent, and it's strung with 12-53s with action measuring 3/32" on both the first and sixth strings at the 12th fret.

The RR-50-VS sits at the top of Recording King's round-neck resonator line, featuring genuine ebony fretboard, bone nut, Grover open-gear tuners, and top and back binding — details that set it apart from entry-level resonators. The mahogany neck has a C profile and comes in at .825" at the first fret and 1.05" at the eighth, a comfortable modern taper. The 12" fretboard radius is flatter than many vintage-spec instruments, making it well suited to slide or fingerpicking work without the string tension fighting you. Recording King builds these to a spec informed by classic National and Dobro designs but with modern playability standards. The sunburst finish is original and in very good shape.

There is one ding on the upper bout of the top — visible in the photos. No cracks, no repairs anywhere on the instrument. Neck, frets, fretboard, bridge, saddle, tuners, nut, and binding are all original and in excellent to very good condition. No pickup system. The truss rod cover is missing. 

Comes with a hardshell case.
