This MXR Timmy Overdrive Mini Custom Shop is in excellent condition. The Timmy circuit is a transparent, low-gain overdrive design originally developed by Paul Cochrane, licensed here by MXR and built in their Custom Shop format in a compact mini enclosure. Transparent overdrives in this class are built around the idea of pushing an amp's front end rather than coloring the signal heavily — the Timmy in particular is known for its wide-ranging bass and treble cut controls that allow the player to dial in or remove frequencies rather than adding them, producing a character that tends to reflect the amp and guitar in front of it more than it imposes its own voice.

The MXR Custom Shop Timmy Mini packages the full Timmy circuit — including the independent bass and treble cut controls, gain, and volume — into a smaller footprint than the standard-size version, making it practical for crowded pedalboards. The Custom Shop designation places this unit in MXR's higher-spec production tier. The controls include Gain, Volume, Bass, and Treble, all on a single-knob-row layout across the face of the mini enclosure. The pedal runs on standard 9V DC. It is a true bypass design.
