This gorgeous Martin -00018 from 1960 just came back from our luthier of choice, South Sound Guitar Repair in Tacoma, WA.

Along with the neck reset and refret, an old, pretty small side repair was reinforced.  There is no other work done to the guitar.  The finish is original, as are the tuners, nut, bridge, saddle, etc etc.  There is no overspray on the guitar.

It originally came in looking fantastic, but it was not very playable beyond open chords.  It was obvious that the guitar sat for quite some time as it was really dusty with old, old strings, but it was immediately apparent to me that this would be an awesome guitar once some work was done.

It needs a little play to wake it up, but don't worry - we'll take care of that for you!  Last night I sat in the shop with a friend going through new inventory.  He played it for a bit and it started happening right there.  Old Martins seem to do this, though I suppose all old guitars do - they go to sleep when they haven't been played.  It doesn't take long to get them going again when they're made of old woods like this one, and the more you play the better they get!

This particular 000-18 appears to have been blessed with a Vermont, or "red" spruce top, which will respond well as noted above.

The guitar has not been beaten, thrashed or otherwise.  It is in very good to excellent condition as compared to others from the period.

Includes a 60s looking, orange lined case that I am certain is not original to the guitar.
