Ibanez 1977 Artist Model 2616-NT Lawsuit Era w/ Original Case, Very Good

This Ibanez 1977 Artist Model 2616-NT in natural is in very good condition.  It has some honest wear but really jumps off the wall here in the shop - its a really beautiful piece!

The 2616-NT carries a pair of Ibanez Super 70 pickups with gold covers, mounted on a laminated curly maple body with a natural finish. The neck is maple with a C profile and a rosewood fretboard featuring pearloid block inlays with black star accents and a 12" radius. Tuners are original Grover closed-gear units. The nut is bone.

The bridge and saddles are non-original — the current bridge is a tune-o-matic style unit with metal roller saddles, and the bridge screws are also non-original; everything else — finish, pickguard, pickguard screws, tuners, tuner screws, nut, tailpiece, switch, switch tip, both pickups, pickup screws, wiring, solder joints, pots, output jack, and knobs — is original. There are no repairs of any kind to the neck, fretboard, or frets. The truss rod was set up in our shop with proper relief; there is no room remaining for further adjustment, but the guitar plays perfectly. The bridge is extended fully and cannot be raised any further. We noted a ground wire hanging loose inside the body cavity; we verified there is no hum when the guitar is plugged in. We set it up here in the shop; action is low at 2/32" on the first string and 2/32" on the sixth string at the 12th fret. Frets are in good condition.

The original Ibanez case is in good condition with no smell. Strings are 10-46.
