This Hohner 1985 "The Prinz" Tele in natural is in excellent condition. The Hohner 1985 "The Prinz" is a guitar modeled after the rare HS Anderson Madcat guitar made famous by Prince. This example features the original, highly desirable headstock shape that closely mirrored Fender designs, which later led to legal issues and a redesign into the TE Prinz.

The body is a 3-piece ash core with flamed maple top and back, featuring a walnut center strip, tortoise shell binding, and a natural finish. The neck is Canadian hard rock maple with a slim C profile and a 9.5" fretboard radius, also in Canadian hard rock maple with black dot inlays. Both pickups are HP single-coil GS-1 units; the neck reads 4.77k and the bridge reads 4.75k. The headstock is the early Fender-style lawsuit-era profile. Tuners are Gotoh locking.

Everything here is original except the tuners — finish, pickguard, pickguard screws, neck plate, neck screws, nut, bridge, saddles, bridge screws, switch, switch tip, both pickups, pickup screws, wiring, solder joints, pots, control cavity cover, output jack plate, output jack, and knobs are all unaltered. There are no repairs of any kind to the neck, fretboard, or frets. We set it up here in the shop; action is low at 2/32" on the first string and 2/32" on the sixth string at the 12th fret. Frets are in excellent condition.

A generic case in very good condition with no smell is included; it is not the original case. Strings are 10-46.
