Gibson 2011 ES-339 Custom Shop Semi Hollow Electric Guitar w/Case

This guitar made a great impression on us.  It is light, resonant, comfortable to play and it set up perfectly.

The ES-339 Custom Shop pairs Gibson's 57 Classic humbuckers with a semi-hollow 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body in a smaller, more manageable format than the full ES-335. Both pickups read at 7.98k — well-matched, and consistent with the PAF-voiced character Gibson designed the 57 Classic to deliver: warm and full through the neck, articulate and responsive at the bridge, with the semi-hollow construction adding the bloom and natural sustain decay that a solid body can't produce. At 7 lbs 0.5 oz, it's a comfortable instrument. The 24-3/4" scale, 1-11/16" nut, and '30/60' slim neck profile (measuring .8085" at the 1st fret and .9185" at the 12th) make for a fast, approachable feel. Action is set at 2/32" on both the 1st and 6th strings at the 12th fret with 10-46 strings. Overall condition is excellent.

The ES-339 Custom Shop was introduced in the mid-2000s as a Custom Shop refinement of the standard ES-339, which itself was Gibson's answer to players who wanted ES-335 tone in a smaller, stage-friendly package. The body dimensions: 14" lower bout, 1-3/4" depth. The sunburst finish is original and in excellent condition.

We have no condition issues to report beyond the finish grading of very good on the body — original finish throughout. No repairs on the neck, fretboard, frets, or body. All solder joints and wiring are original. Pickguard, hardware, knobs, switch tip, and pickups are all original and in excellent condition. The original Gibson case is included and in very good condition with no odor.
