A 1970 Gibson black tolex hardshell case in good condition — original covering, handle, and latches all functional, interior in excellent condition with no smell. The correct period case for late 1960s and early 1970s Gibson hollow and semi-hollow bodies and acoustic guitars including the ES-175, J-45, and similar models from this era. Interior dimensions: 44" length, 16-1/4" lower bout, 12-1/4" waist, 12-3/4" upper bout, 4" depth. A practical and period-correct storage and transport solution for the right Gibson instrument.
The border trim around the top has cracked, as is typical in this era. The area around the latch on the bottom edge is a little flexible. It likely stood on its end somewhere for a long time, but the area is sound and sturdy nonetheless.
