SOLD - VOX Mark VI Acoustic 1966 Trans Cherry
$0.00This Mark VI Acoustic was dubbed "Frankenstein" by the previous owner. When he acquired it, there were some significant issues with the electronics and some 'woodwork" that was previously performed on the body. He set about the task of getting it playable, including the addition of an original pickup where an old one had been removed.
See the close up pics for details. A hole by the control plate was patched, as was a section of the top around the middle pickup. The neck has been shimmed, which is what it takes to get some of these to be playable, and it worked - this example is a playable instrument for sure.
The Bigsby is recent, a replacement for the original Vox tremolo and arguably a pretty significant upgrade over what wasn't the best tremolo bridge made by mankind.
