Fender Telecaster 1975 Blonde w/Original Case

Here we have a 1975 Fender Telecaster that weighs in at just 7 pounds 8.5 ounces, something you don't usually see from the era of heavyweight guitars. 

The guitar has the classic Tele voice: pronounced attack, glassy high-end on the bridge pickup, and enough midrange body on the neck to handle clean rhythm work, and a well-played and worn vibe. Overall condition is excellent, and all major components except for one potentiometer are original, including the pickguard, bridge, tuners, knobs, and nut.

The blonde ash Telecaster is one of the most enduring configurations in the electric guitar world — the combination Fender offered from the very beginning of the Telecaster's production run. Ash was Fender's primary body wood on transparent finished Telecasters through much of the 1950s and into the 1970s, prized for its tight grain and the way it contributes to the Telecaster's characteristic snap and clarity. The all-maple neck with a 7.25" radius and C profile represents traditional Fender geometry, familiar to players who grew up on vintage Fenders. Both of the original pickups read well: bridge at 6.73k and neck at 7.16k, consistent with stock Fender Tele single-coils. The original case is included.

The frets have been replaced and the guitar plays great. The nut is original. There is one extra mounting screw hole on the neck heel that appears to be a factory mistake.
