SOLD - Fender Mustang 1965 Olympic White with slab fretboard
$0.00This Pre-CBS Mustang is all original and it is a superb player! I've been really throwing the offsets at Tim, the guy who takes all the pictures and records the stats of our guitars. As a result, he's gotten really good at setting them up.
Original down to the last screw, including the trem arm and case, and the neck is a slab board! You'll see these occasionally. I assume this is the frugality of Leo Fender showing, perhaps using up left over slab boards that were too short for full scale instruments made prior.
The pots, neck, serial numbers and features all point to '65. The bridge bears the Patent Pending moniker.
The pickup dates are kind of strange - one is dated '61, though it is obviously not, being a gray plate part and one that was never unsoldered from the guitar. Looks like a "typo" to me!
The latches and hinges on the case are all intact, but they're a little wonky as they always are on the Mustang cases. That said, they do securely hold the case closed.
