Fender 2023 Custom '64 Hand-Wired Deluxe Reverb Amp Near Mint

We've spent a good deal of time around here comparing this model, the Fender Custom Hand Wired Deluxe Reverb reissue, with vintage Deluxe Reverbs.  The amp comes very close to the original!  There is a difference, perhaps found in the modern transformers, speaker, caps and resistors - it would be hard to say exactly where the magic of the vintage version lies, but trust us when we say that this is a great sounding amp! 

This example is in near-mint condition.  The cabinet, baffle, grille cloth, chassis, knobs, handle, and tolex covering are all original and in excellent condition. No internal repairs have been made. Tubes are GT-branded 6V6 power tubes and GT preamp tubes (2x 12AT7, 4x 12AX7), with a Fender-branded 5AR4 rectifier. We tested all the tubes to make sure they're solid for you.  The original Fender cover and the original footswitch pedal are included, both in excellent condition. No documentation is included.

The Custom '64 Hand-Wired Deluxe Reverb is Fender's attempt to faithfully recreate the circuit topology of the original 1964 Deluxe Reverb — and it does so with point-to-point hand-wired construction rather than a printed circuit board, which is what separates this amp from the standard reissue. Spruce-and-pine cabinet construction, a Jensen C12Q 12" speaker, tube rectification via a 5AR4/GZ34, and a pair of 6V6 power tubes in a 20-watt configuration produce the warm, touch-responsive character that made the original Deluxe Reverb a studio and stage staple. Onboard spring reverb and vibrato circuits round out the feature set exactly as specified on the original. This example is in excellent condition throughout — cabinet, chassis, grille, and baffle all present cleanly with no noted repairs or modifications.

Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely. If there is damage, retain all packing materials intact, photograph them immediately, and send the photos to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.

Amplifiers: We take additional precautions to prevent common shipping damage. Depending on the amp, this may include removing tubes, pulling the chassis from the cabinet if heavy transformers present a drop risk, or removing heavy speakers that could crack baffles in transit. Reassembly is required on delivery — we label everything clearly. These measures add to shipping costs but reflect hard-won experience. Vintage amplifiers (20 years or older) are sold as-is — all amps are tested in our shop upon intake and again before shipping. We cover shipping damage but cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in instruments that are 20 to 50-plus years old.
