Alder body construction in a Precision Bass platform gives this instrument a well-established tonal profile: punchy low-mids with controlled low end and enough top-end definition to cut through a mix. The 5-saddle HiMass Vintage bridge with string-through-body or top-load stringing adds sustain and note clarity, while the V-Mod II split single-coil pickup — reading 11.31k — delivers the fat, thick fundamental that defines the P Bass voice, extended here across five strings with the added low B. At 8 lbs 9.5 oz, this is a reasonable weight for a 5-string. The neck is a modern C profile on a 34" scale with a 9.5" radius rosewood board, and action is set at 3/32" on both the 1st and 5th strings at the 12th fret. Overall condition is excellent.

The American Professional II series, introduced in 2020, represents Fender's current domestic production standard. The P Bass V in this line carries meaningful upgrades over its predecessor: the V-Mod II pickup, bone nut, lightweight vintage-style tuners with tapered shafts, and the HiMass bridge. These aren't cosmetic changes — each directly affects tone or playability. The 1.875" nut width and 2.797" string spacing at the bridge place this instrument in conventional 5-string territory, neither cramped nor splayed. The original documentation, COA, hang tags, and paperwork are included, along with the original Fender case in excellent condition.

The body finish is in very good condition with some scuffs on the back top contour. The pickguard shows some type of texture imprinted in areas, possibly from contact with case materials during storage — see photos. The neck, fretboard, frets, bridge, tuners, and electronics are all in excellent condition with no repairs on any component. All parts — body, neck, pickguard, pickguard screws, neck plate, neck screws, bridge, saddles, bridge and saddle screws, tuners, tuner screws, pickups, pickup screws, knobs, pots, wiring, and output jack — are original. No modifications. No replaced or non-original components.
