Fender 2010 Jazz Bass 50th Anniversary w/ Case & Paperwork Very Good

The Jazz Bass body style defined bass tones across decades of recorded music. This example is in original condition with some cosmetic finish blemishes (described below) and comes with its original Fender case and original hangtags and paperwork.

This is Fender's 50th Anniversary Jazz Bass, produced to mark the model's introduction in 1960. Fender marked the occasion with period-correct appointments — the American Vintage '75 pickup set, HiMass vintage bridge, Hipshot/Fender vintage-style tuners with tapered shafts, bone nut, and Candy Apple Red finish on an alder body — making it a more spec-complete instrument than many standard production runs of the era. The rosewood fretboard runs a 9.5" radius on a maple C-profile neck with a 1.5" nut width and 20 frets, consistent with a player-friendly modern-vintage hybrid feel. At 9 lbs 7 oz, this is a solidly built instrument in keeping with the weight range typical of alder-body Fender basses.  It set up perfectly with no issues and room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments.

The body finish is original and in good condition, but there is a notable cosmetic issue: it appears someone used red paint or marker to fill in dings on the body. This is visible and worth examining in the photos. There is some finish reaction here and there too - either some patina from reaction with the case interior or just from honest play - probably both.  Aside from this, the body is in excellent shape. The neck, fretboard, pickguard, electronics, and hardware are all in excellent to very good condition with no repairs noted. Frets are very good with no repairs. Original pickguard screws, neck plate, neck screws, tuner screws, and all wiring and solder joints are intact and unaltered. The output jack is original. The original Fender case is included and is in excellent condition with no odor.
