Fender 1970 Super Reverb Original CTS Speakers, Very Good

No sales tax for US customers outside California.

This Fender 1970 Super Reverb in black is in very good condition. It has been serviced here in our shop and is 100% ready to go.

Dating on this amp is confirmed through the serial number and component codes, all pointing to 1970. The amp runs strong and quiet with the legendary, deep reverb and lush vibrato.

The CTS alnico speakers are the best ones Fender used in this era.

The amp has had a cap job - I replaced the bypass caps, bias cap, and filter caps.  The power cable is a recent, grounded replacement.  The reverb tank is original, but the cables between it and the chassis are replacements.  All potentiometers, knobs, chassis, baffle, and handle are original. The footswitch is a reproduction unit. Tube complement includes a Baldwin 5U4 GB rectifier, two 6L6 power tubes (marked made in China, brand uncertain), and a mix of Hewlett Packard, JJ, and GE preamp tubes across the 12AT7 and 12AX7 positions. We tested all the tubes, cleaned the tube sockets and pots, and tightened all the jacks and pots.  The cabinet, baffle, and chassis are all in very good condition, the grille as well No repairs or changes to the cabinet, baffle, or chassis beyond what's noted.

No case or cover is included. Tilt-back legs are included. No documentation.
