Epiphone 1963 Century E422T w/ Original Case, Excellent

This Epiphone 1963 Century E422T in sunburst is in excellent condition.

The E422T is a thinline semi-hollow electric with a laminated maple top, back and sides, single-ply cream binding and a tortoiseshell pickguard. At 5 lbs and 1-7/8" deep it is very comfortable, with enough acoustic tone to practice unplugged. The 25.5" scale mahogany neck has a medium-slim C profile and a Brazilian rosewood fretboard with Mother of Pearl dots. The single pickup is an original Gibson P-90 dogear with a black cover, reading 8.39k.

Everything is original: finish, wiring, pots, output jack, Kluson Deluxe 3+3 tuners, rosewood bridge and saddle, Gibson nickel tailpiece and gold knobs. Playability notes: the fretboard has a lift where the neck meets the body (typical of thinline guitars). The truss rod is tightened nearly all the way and the bridge is as low as it will go, so action is 3/32" at the 12th fret with 11-48 strings. Lower action would need a neck reset or upper-register refret and fretboard leveling by a luthier. There is finish checking along the lower bout and side; these are not body cracks (see photos). Frets are very good.

Cosmetically it is in very fine shape. It ships in its original Gibson chipboard case in very good condition.
