SOLD - Danocaster Telecaster Butterscotch Blonde Black Guard 2022
$0.00If you know me, you know about my penchant for Danocasters. They are always hard to sell, and this one is no walk in the park for me.
This beauty went up for sale by Dan in February of 2022. It is the first guitar outfitted with his "92 V" neck profile - a soft V neck shape that is .92" thick at the first fret - a whopper of a neck that feels absolutely killer.
Dan bills this model as a "Premium Blackguard" and that is by no means a misnomer. It has the look and feel of an early 50's Tele that has been loved and played for years. Everything from the pickguard to the finish, right down to the flathead screws lends to the early 50's Fender vibe.
One thing we noticed is that the guitar basically stays together even with the neck screws completely removed. The fit of the neck pocket is so incredibly solid, undoubtedly adding tot he resonance and tone of the guitar.
A new hang tag is on the way. When I pulled the guitar from my living room stash and took it in for pics, Tim noticed that the callout on the tag for pickups was not correct. The guitar is loaded from Danocaster with Arcane pickups, but the tag says that they are Budz. A new tag, from Dan at Danocaster, will be delivered with the guitar.
I should keep this, but I do have one in my stash still that I'll probably never part with. If you pick this up, I recommend that you keep it - these are going to be valuable guitars one day - they are just too damn good not to be.
