The Sriracha is a clone of the Shin-ei FY-2 Companion Fuzz, a Japanese germanium/silicon hybrid fuzz circuit from the late 1960s that earned a cult following for its aggressive, compressed, almost synth-like fuzz character. The circuit produces a hard-clipping, gated fuzz tone with strong sustain and a distinctive nasal quality that sits apart from conventional Fuzz Face or Big Muff-style circuits.
