Fender 1964 Vibrolux AA763 Rare Blackpanel Pre-CBS 1x12 Amp, Very Good

This Fender 1964 Vibrolux AA763 in black is in near mint cosmetic condition, but I have labeled it as very good because the output transformer and the speaker are changed.  If I or you could find the correct output transformer, this would be worth more than the few others that you see on Reverb for $6000!

Fender made very few black panel Vibrolux amps in this configuration, a carryover from the 1963 and earlier brown amps - a 35-watt 1x12 amp with onboard vibrato (no reverb). The era of amps with reverb built in saw the Vibrolux change to a 2x10" combo.  The speaker is a Celestion G-12 Alnico Cream Back, and the tubes are a Ruby 5AR4 rectifier, two 6L6 power tubes, and a 12AT7 and three 12AX7/7025 preamp tubes from Sylvania and Westinghouse. The cabinet, grille, and baffle rate very good, while the chassis and speaker rate excellent.

Several parts are not original: the speaker, the output transformer (a Mercury Magnetics FBFPRO-0), and the included pedal. Some electrolytic caps had been changed prior to the amp's arrival here.  I benched the amp and did the rest of the work necessary to get it working to spec, including replacement of the power cable with a grounded one. The amp runs perfectly now and it sounds amazing.  The power transformer (Schumacher 606, date code 314) and choke transformer (606, 402) are original, as are the covering, cabinet, grille, baffle, chassis, knobs, handle, and potentiometers, with no cabinet, baffle, or chassis repairs.
