Fender 1964 Bassman Head, Pre-CBS Blackpanel, Serviced, Near Mint

No sales tax for US customers outside California.

This Fender 1964 Bassman Head in is in near mint condition. It is an outstanding, early blackpanel example of the famous Fender circuit.  The amp was professionally serviced before it arrived here, with all the electrolytic caps updated and installed inside the cardboard sleeves of the originals.  This thing kills and it runs like a new amp.

The chassis is zinc plated, a characteristic of Pre CBS amps.  The wheat sparkle grille are near mint, the cabinet has no modifications, and the tolex, knobs, handle and potentiometers are all original.

The power, choke and output transformers are original Schumacher units with 1964 date codes. Svetlana 6L6 power tubes and a mix of JJ and Mesa preamp tubes are installed. All the tubes were tested here in our shop to make sure you don't have to spend money on new ones.  I cleaned the pots, tube sockets, and jacks when I benched the amp and checked it out on the oscilloscope.

Listing is for the Head Only. Shown with 1965 2x12 Cabinet, the perfect match that is available separately on our site.
