Fender 1962 Super 6G4-A Brown Pre-CBS 2x10 Amp, 100% Original, Near Mint

No sales tax for US customers outside California.

This Fender 1962 Super 6G4-A in brown is in near mint condition.  The amp is 100% original, which is as remarkable as its cosmetic condition.  I have left the amp as it sits.  I haven't turned it on - it likely hasn't been powered up for years.  I perform maintenance on all the amps that come through the shop.  I can perform a cap job, swap out the power cable, and perform any other maintenance needed for the next owner if desired.  I would ask for an additional $200 to cover parts and some of the labor.  All the tubes tested well, so they'll ship with the amp either way.  The amp would need to be serviced to be used.

The Super is a 40-watt amp that has two 10" Oxford 10K5 speakers behind a wheat grille, onboard vibrato (no reverb), and a pedal. The cabinet, baffle, and chassis all rate near mint, the grille and pedal rate excellent, and the speakers rate near mint. Tubes are an Amperex 5AR4 rectifier, two Tung Sol 5881 power tubes, and six 12AX7/7025 preamp tubes from RCA, Fender, and Amperex.

Everything is original: tolex, cabinet, grille, baffle, chassis, knobs, handle, both speakers and cones, potentiometers, filter caps, power cable, and the pedal - all the screws as well. The power transformer (Schumacher 606, date code 213), choke transformer (606, 227), and output transformer (606, 222) are all original. There are no cabinet, baffle, chassis, or internal repairs. There are a couple very small tolex scuffs and a little wear on the handle.
