Don Mare 2020s '54 Telecaster Neck Pickup

Don Mare's '54 Telecaster neck pickup is purpose-built to replicate the original 1954 Fender spec: flat-staggered Alnico pole pieces, correct period wire, and wind counts that target the warm, full-bodied character associated with early single-coil Telecaster neck designs. That construction — Alnico magnets, relatively high impedance, and a cover that tames the high end — produces a pickup that runs darker and rounder than a bridge Tele unit, with good note definition and a midrange presence that works well for clean tones and light overdrive. This example is in excellent condition.  It arrived here in a Telecaster that had the guitar's original pickups in the case.  Before re-installing the stock parts we gave the guitar a try and loved this and the Don Mare bridge pickup
