This 2025 Boss Blues Driver BD-2w Waza Craft is in near-mint condition. The BD-2w is Boss's Waza Craft take on the classic BD-2 Blues Driver, a pedal that has been a staple of blues, rock, and country players since the original's introduction in 1995. The Waza Craft designation indicates hand-selected components, a custom mode switch that expands the circuit's voicing, and a discrete through-hole circuit built to a higher standard than the standard production unit.

The BD-2w retains the core Blues Driver topology — a soft-clipping overdrive circuit designed to produce smooth, touch-sensitive breakup reminiscent of an overdriven tube amp — while adding Boss's Custom mode, which opens up the frequency response and adds more headroom and bass content compared to the Standard mode. The three-knob layout (Level, Tone, Gain) is identical to the original BD-2. The Waza Craft series is manufactured in Japan, as opposed to the standard BD-2 which is made in Taiwan, reflecting Boss's intent to build these to a tighter tolerance with premium passive components. This is a current-production 2025 unit and shows no meaningful use.
