The early 1980s Gibson ES-335 Dot Reissue was Gibson's turn back to the original ES-335 spec after years of the model drifting from its roots throughout the 70s Norlin Era. The Shaw patent number humbuckers  are highly regarded by players and collectors alike. The guitar weighs 7 lbs 11 oz — lighter than many 335s, which contributes to better resonance and comfort. The bone nut, original Grover tuners, and intact original wiring and potentiometers round out this all-original beauty.

The ES-335 Dot Reissue in blonde is one of Gibson's most sought-after semi-hollow configurations. The guitar is in mint mint condition throughout with only the slightest signs of handling: body, neck, fretboard, binding, and finish all show no meaningful wear. It set up perfectly with no issues whatsoever, and there is room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments.

A Faber Tone Lock bridge and Faber nickel tailpiece have been installed in place of the originals — both the original bridge and original tailpiece are included with the guitar. The Faber hardware is a common and reversible upgrade favored for improved sustain and easier string loading. All other hardware is original: pickguard, screws, switch, switch tip, knobs, output jack, and tuner screws. No repairs to the neck, body, fretboard, nut, or frets. Action is set at 2/32" on both the first and sixth strings at the 12th fret on 10-46 strings. The original Gibson case is included and rates excellent with no odor.
