Gibson 1958 Les Paul TV Special All Original Excellent Condittion

This is a spectacular example of a Gibson Les Paul TV Special - a truly brilliant guitar!  It has just the right amount of play wear to show that it has been loved but not beat.  It is a stunner.  Gibson made 429 TV model guitars in 1958, including the TV Junior and Special.  One can imagine that there aren't many examples like this left out there when you consider how many have been lost to fire, flood, and repair lunacy.

The potentiometer date code of 738 dates these pots to the 38th week of 1957, placing this guitar firmly in the late-1950s run of the model — a period widely regarded as the peak of Gibson's P-90 production. The fretboard is Brazilian rosewood, which was standard on Gibson instruments of this era and is now a restricted tonewoood. The Kluson Deluxe tuners are original and in excellent condition. The 50s-rounded medium C neck profile at .896" at the first fret and 1.012" at the 12th fret is on the slimmer end of late-50s Gibson necks while still carrying period-correct feel.

All original parts are intact: finish, pickguard, tuners, nut, wiring, solder joints, potentiometers, output jack, pickguard screws, tuner screws, bridge screws, switch, switch tip, knobs, and control cavity cover. No repairs are noted on the neck, body, fretboard, or frets. The neck pickup reads 8.52k and the bridge reads 7.92k — both within the expected range for vintage P-90s. The case included is a Gibson case but is not the original and is worn. No documentation or accessories are included.
