This 2005 PRS Swamp Ash Special in Cherry finish is a well played 20th Anniversary model. Lightweight, resonant, and remarkably responsive, the Swamp Ash Special occupies a special place in the PRS lineup—bridging the gap between classic single-coil clarity and PRS’s refined humbucking voice.

The solid swamp ash body paired with a maple neck gives the guitar an exceptional blend of snap, warmth, and dynamic touch sensitivity. The pickup configuration—two PRS McCarty humbuckers flanking a Vintage Rail humbucker—creates a wide tonal palette that excels in blues, fusion, funk, and modern rock. Add in the PRS tremolo system and locking tuners and you get the reliability, tuning stability, and precision PRS is famous for.

This guitar was the main axe of a regular customer for years.  The frets have been dressed, and there are years and years of life left.  The guitar set up perfectly, as PRS guitars do.  There is room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments.  There are no changes, repairs, or issues with the guitar whatsoever.  All the original paperwork is included in the original case.

There are multiple shipping cost options for purchases made on our site.  Select Ground, 3 Day, 2 Day, or Next Day Air Saver.  For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for Eastern states - any state that is more than a 3 day UPS ground shipment from our shop will get their shipment via UPS 3 day air.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
