This 2018 Fender Eric Johnson Thinline Stratocaster in Sunburst is a beautifully crafted signature model that blends classic Stratocaster tone with a unique semi-hollow design for enhanced resonance and dynamic response. Developed in collaboration with Eric Johnson—one of the most detail-oriented tone purists in modern guitar history—this model reflects meticulous attention to every aspect of construction, feel, and sound. It includes the original case and paperwork, making it a complete and well-documented example.

Tonally, the Thinline Stratocaster offers a slightly more open and airy character compared to a traditional solidbody Strat, with enhanced resonance and a touch of added warmth. The single-coil pickups deliver classic Fender sparkle, articulate highs, and clear, bell-like tones, while the semi-hollow construction contributes subtle depth and bloom to notes and chords. It excels in clean and edge-of-breakup settings, where its dynamic response and clarity really shine, but it also handles overdrive beautifully while maintaining definition and musicality. The neck profile and setup reflect Eric Johnson’s exacting preferences, resulting in an incredibly smooth and responsive playing experience.

This example presents in excellent condition with only the lightest signs of use.  The frets show little to no wear.  The neck is perfect, and the guitar set up with little effort.  It is pretty much perfect!
