The SG Jr is right up near the top of my Gibson favorite list, and I know I'm not alone.  There isn't a lighter, more comfortable guitar to play that has the gnarly tone you get here.  The guitar weighs just 5 pounds, 12 ounces!

In 1965, Gibson changed their guitars drastically by reducing the nut width by 2/16".  This guitar made it out just before the cutoff.  Later 1965 examples are still amazing guitars, but the value of the earlier '65 Jrs and their predecessors is much greater than the latter.

The guitar is all original with the exception of a re-fret.  It has less than wear than many and more than some.  The color is strong - you will often see these fade out to a more walnut shade.  The Brazilian rosewood board is rich and dark.  Frets are in reasonably good shape and are not imminently in need of replacement.

The neck joint appears in pictures to have been subject to some stress but, as you can see in the pictures, there are no cracks.  The trick with these is to look under the pickguard where the neck tenon is clearly visible.

We were able to get it set up very easily as the truss rod is functional with plenty of room for adjustment and the neck is true with no issues.

Overall this is a great looking, amazing sounding Jr with all the mojo you want without the issues you see on so many examples.
