I noticed immediately that this is probably the most resonant guitar in the shop. The whole thing rings like crazy when you hit big, open chords.
This SG has suffered a fate that is all too familiar with the model. The neck joint suffered a break. The damage didn't go through the heel, which looks better than some, and it also allowed for a really nice and stable repair. The client I bought the guitar from purchased it post-repair about 15 to 20 years ago.
The frets have been changed, and though the pictures seem to show that they need replacement, they are good to go for quite some time.
Other than the repair and the missing tremolo arm, the guitar is 100% original. The full wiring harness is intact with no solder changes. The pickups sound as they do - freakin awesome. So many people changed the patent sticker pickups to DiMarzio or Duncan pickups in these guitars over the years, so it is nice to find one that remains stock.
Included is a late 70s Epiphone case that fits the guitar quite nicely.

Three day UPS air shipments will be automatic for buyers including these states and those to the east of them: Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions. If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.
