Here we have a killer 2004 Mesa Boogie Mark 1 reissue with matching 1x12" cab.  

The full setup is all original.  The amp runs perfectly - like new.  It was purchased from the original owner, who took great care of the rig.

The simplicity of the Mark I is part of the draw.  There aren't a million pull pots and cryptic paths to great tone.  

Plugging into Input 1 gives you access to the two Volume controls, which drive the preamp section.  Plug into Input 2 to stay on the cleaner side, with just Volume 2 working the preamp.

The clean sound is unparalleled.  With the master volume dimed and Volume 1 and 2 set on the lower side, you get lush, warm clean tones with all the frequency range you'd ever want.  The closed back 1x12" cab adds punch.  Creeping the Volume controls up will start to get you gain that reacts to pick attack.  Add a bit to a ton of deep reverb for the best clean sound out there.  The rear-mounted Presence control lets you cut through when the treble control doesn't get you where you want to be.

The character of the clean sound, like the dirtier settings, changes in character and headroom when you flip the Power switch to Tweed.  Headroom changes further when you switch from 60 to 100 watts of output power.

You can get to full on overdrive by backing the master volume down and riding one or both of the Volume controls.  An A'/B switch can get you some flexibility, allowing you to hit input 1, 2 or both.

Amplifiers: We take additional precautions to prevent common shipping damage. Depending on the amp, this may include removing tubes, pulling the chassis from the cabinet if heavy transformers present a drop risk, or removing heavy speakers that could crack baffles in transit. Reassembly is required on delivery — we label everything clearly. These measures add to shipping costs but reflect hard-won experience. All amps are tested in our shop upon intake and again before shipping. We cover shipping damage but cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in instruments that are 20 to 50-plus years old.
