This Marshall Model 1936 2x12 Extension Cabinet is in excellent condition. Dated to 2008 via the serial number.

The Model 1936 is Marshall's standard-production 2x12 extension cabinet, built to complement the JCM900, JCM2000, and DSL/TSL series heads among others. The cabinet is constructed from finger-jointed plywood and MDF, covered in black elephant-grain vinyl — the same spec Marshall has used on production cabinets for decades. The black grille cloth is original and in very good condition. The baffle is plywood, original, with no repairs or changes. Handles are original plastic. Both Celestion G12T-75 12" speakers are original to the cabinet, carrying cone code 6 36 1777, and are in excellent condition. The G12T-75 is a high-output ceramic speaker rated at 75 watts per driver, contributing to the cabinet's 150-watt total power handling. It delivers the tight, punchy response and upper-mid presence that made it a fixture in Marshall production cabs through the 1980s and beyond.

There are no repairs, changes, or issues with this cabinet. The covering is original and in excellent condition. The cabinet itself is in excellent shape with no structural issues noted. The grille is original and very good.

Amplifiers: We take additional precautions to prevent common shipping damage. Depending on the amp, this may include removing tubes, pulling the chassis from the cabinet if heavy transformers present a drop risk, or removing heavy speakers that could crack baffles in transit. Reassembly is required on delivery — we label everything clearly. These measures add to shipping costs but reflect hard-won experience. Vintage amplifiers (20 years or older) are sold as-is — all amps are tested in our shop upon intake and again before shipping. We cover shipping damage but cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in instruments that are 20 to 50-plus years old.
