I've been on a Guild bent over the last year.  The market seems to be following along with my thought that they're undervalued.  They generally need some work to get them playing just right, but this 1974 F-50 BLD came in with all the work complete.  It has had a neck reset, a refret, new saddle and nut.  It plays perfectly.  Action is set low and even at 2/32" on both the first and sixth strings at the 12th fret.

The F-50 is a jumbo-body acoustic, spruce top over stunningly flamed back and sides. This combination provides clear, articulate top end with strong note separation and good projection.  25.5" scale length, ebony fretboard, and ebony bridge.  A top seam separation was also professionally repaired, the bridge reglued, and the entire guitar has been refinished.  Whomever did the work did a fantastic job.  A pickup system was professionally installed as well.

The Guild F-50 BLD is part of Guild's flagship jumbo series, built in the Westerly, Rhode Island factory during the period when Guild was producing some of the most respected flattop acoustics in the country. The BLD designation indicates a natural blonde finish over flamed maple back and sides. The three-piece mahogany/walnut/mahogany neck, ebony board, mother-of-pearl and abalone block inlays, and Grover Rotomatic tuners reflect the higher-tier appointments Guild put into the J-50. These instruments are legitimate alternatives to vintage Gibsons and Martins and have developed a strong collector following.

The headstock shows some finish cloudiness. There is one finish crack at the soundhole, also documented in photos. The saddle is replaced, carved from bone. Fretboard, frets, back, sides, top, and bracing have all been restored and are in excellent condition. The original Guild case is included and is in very good condition with no odor.
