Gibson 1981 ES-335 Dot Neck Reissue Sunburst W/ Original Case, Very Good

This Gibson 1981 ES-335 Dot Neck Reissue in Sunburst is in very good condition.  This is seriously one of the best playing guitars in the shop right now.

Cosmetically the guitar is gorgeous and on the edge of being classified as an actual vintage guitar. We are calling the condition Very Good because of the changes below, which can be reversed with the included original parts. The body is 3-ply laminated maple with single-ply cream binding. The mahogany neck has a medium-to-slim C profile, a rosewood fretboard and Mother of Pearl dot inlays. Both pickups are Gibson Tim Shaw humbuckers marked with Patent number 2737842 (7.06k neck, 7.12k bridge), with their original screws and full-length leads.

What has changed: the bridge and tailpiece are non-original Fabre USA pieces (an extra set of the same is included in the case), and the entire wiring harness, from the switch through the pots to the output jack, was replaced with a nicely constructed Emerson harness. Original are the pickguard, switch tip, amber knobs, Grover tuners, bone nut, and the neck and body finish. There are no neck or fretboard repairs, and the frets are good and original.

Note: the tip of the rear strap button is broken off and left a dent in the body, so see the photos. Action is 2/32" at the 12th fret on 10-46 strings. It ships in its original Gibson case in very good condition, with the extra Fabre bridge and tailpiece and an adjustment wrench.
