Ahhh, another super sweet, vintage Jazzmaster. This pre-CBS beauty is something to behold!
Every last screw is original and the guitar is in better-than-excellent condition. There are some marks here and there to show that it has been around for a while, but no signs or abuse or only moderate play.
The neck feels amazing. There is only one small spot where play in the lower register wore through the finish on the side of the neck. Despite the presence of the original finish on most of the neck, it plays incredibly well and just feels right.
Frets are in excellent condition and were lightly leveled in the past. The fretboard is an early curved, Brazilian version.
The pickguard has shrunk, but not nearly enough to keep us from removing it for our comprehensive inspection. Pickups and all the pots check out as original with no solders disturbed.
Under the tremolo is the pencil date of 12-63 and the neck date stamp is from Oct 63.
Everything works perfectly and the guitar sets up nicely.
The original case is in excellent condition as well.
Color in the original finish is strong.
