Fender American Standard Stratocaster 1995 – Upgraded with 60s Reissue Pickups & Case

This 1995 Fender American Standard Stratocaster is a player's example of the mid 90s workhorse, enhanced with an upgrade that puts it head and shoulders above a stock example: a set of Fender 60s Reissue pickups.

These pickups capture the chime, sparkle, and warm midrange of vintage mid-1960s Stratocasters, giving this American Standard the tonal character of a classic while retaining the modern reliability and build quality that Fender players trust.

The alder body and modern C-shaped maple neck with a rosewood fretboard provide comfort and resonance, while the upgraded pickups deliver glassy cleans and dynamic response perfect for blues, rock, funk, and beyond. Whether you’re a player seeking a Strat with authentic vintage tone or a collector looking for a well-kept example from the American Standard line, this guitar delivers the best of both worlds.

The guitar set up perfectly for us with a set of 10-46 strings.  There is room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments.  

The pickup replacement was followed by a shielding tape application in the pickup and control cavity.  The pots were replaced as well, and a treble bleed was added to the volume pot.  

Cosmetically, the guitar is in beautiful shape.  The frets are full and in excellent shape.  It is pretty clear that this guitar wasn't played all that much.  The backplate was altered somewhat - the hole that gives you access to the tremolo block was widened to make restringing easier.

An original Fender hard case is included.

Shipping policy:
There are two shipping cost options for purchases made on our site for these states and those to the east of them: Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas.  Select Standard shipping at checkout and your item will be shipped via UPS three-day-air.  Select Economy shipping and your item will ship via UPS ground.  For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
