This Fender 1953 Telecaster in Blonde is in very good condition.
This Blackguard Telecaster has just the right amount of authentic wear to play without worry, and a very professional refret on a chunky D-shaped neck. The neck finish is original and the body has an old refinish. The pickups, electronics and pickguard are original, there has been no work in the control cavity, and the original bridge cover is included.
Three of the tuning machines are later single-line Klusons, the only other change from original. The other three are original "no line" tuners marked PAT APPLD. No changes were made to the headstock, and the tuner screws look original. The neck heel is dated 2-53, and the neck cavity is dated 9-29-52 and signed "Eddie" by Fender employee Eddie Mendoza. The heel is not signed by Tadeo Gomez.
It weighs 7 lbs 9.5 oz and has been set up perfectly. The case is a Fender reproduction of the "poodle" case.
