Gibson 1991 ES-335 Dot Reissue Blonde – Figured Maple Top, Vintage USA Semi-Hollow Tone

This 1991 Gibson ES-335 Dot Neck Reissue is nicely aged, authentically, with light checking throughout, and the grain of the maple is really cool looking - figured but understated like the old ones were.

Made in the USA at Gibson’s Nashville factory, this semi-hollowbody electric guitar offers warm resonance, excellent sustain, and classic clarity thanks to its solid center block and dual humbuckers.

With its '60s slim taper neck, dot inlays, and vintage-style hardware, this ES-335 captures the spirit of the original late-1950s models. A superb player’s guitar and player's grade piece in a highly sought-after finish.

A previous owner went for the gold - apparently they changed the hardware out at some point to gold from the original nickel.  They replaced the Tune o Matic bridge inserts and height adjustments - the only gold part remaining.  The pickup covers were removed, then returned to the guitar.  The pickups are original and were never unsoldered from the original pots.  The bridges are original to the guitar.  A trapeze or Bigsby tailpiece was added and removed at some point as well.  The tuners were changed, then returned to a set of Gibson machines.  The rest of the parts look original.

The original frets are in excellent shape and appear to be full height.  The guitar set up perfectly, and there is room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustment.

A Gibson hard case is included.  I assume it is original.

There are two shipping cost options for purchases made on our site for these states and those to the east of them: Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas.  Select Standard shipping at checkout and your item will be shipped via UPS three-day-air.  Select Economy shipping and your item will ship via UPS ground.  For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
