The 1958 Gibson ES-225T is a true classic from Gibson’s golden era, offering the perfect blend of vintage tone, comfortable playability, and timeless style. Introduced in the mid-1950s, the ES-225T was Gibson’s first thinline hollowbody electric guitar, making it lighter and more feedback-resistant than full-depth models—ideal for both stage and studio use.

This example features the original vintage Sunburst finish, a single dog-ear P-90 pickup in the middle position, and the distinctive trapeze bridge/tailpiece combination that defined early Gibson models. The full 16" body width and hollow construction deliver a warm, resonant acoustic tone that pairs beautifully with the crisp, dynamic bite of the P-90, making it perfect for blues, jazz, rockabilly, and early rock ‘n’ roll.

The neck sports a comfortable late-’50s rounded profile with a Brazilian rosewood fretboard, offering a familiar vintage Gibson feel. This ES-225T is in excellent vintage condition —making it equally appealing to players and collectors.

The guitar is largely original, with just one changed tuning machine and a missing endpin.  There are no repairs, cracks or other such issues.  The frets show some divots in the lower register but are very serviceable.  The neck is chunky and straight, and the truss rod was checked to make sure there is room for future neck relief adjustments.

The case is a modern TKL hardshell.
