The 1953 Gibson ES-125 Sunburst is a timeless example of Gibson’s post-war hollow body craftsmanship, offering the warm, woody tone and vintage charm that have made it a favorite among jazz, blues, and roots players. Introduced in 1941 as Gibson’s entry-level archtop electric, the ES-125 quickly earned a reputation for superb playability, classic P-90 tone, and elegant simplicity.

This example is in beautiful shape.  It is all original as well.  The original frets are in excellent condition.  The neck is straight and the truss rod has room for future neck relief adjustments.  It set up very nicely and plays perfectly.  

This early ‘50s example features a full hollow maple body with a carved spruce top, finished in a beautiful vintage sunburst that has aged with character. The single dog-ear P-90 pickup delivers that signature Gibson bite—warm and round when played clean, yet capable of gritty growl when pushed. The mahogany neck with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard offers smooth playability and the unmistakable feel of a well-crafted vintage Gibson.

There are two shipping cost options for purchases made on our site for these states and those to the east of them: Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas.  Select Standard shipping at checkout and your item will be shipped via UPS three-day-air.  Select Economy shipping and your item will ship via UPS ground.  For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
