This 2007 Gibson Les Paul BFG in Transparent Cherry is one of the most unique and tone-focused Les Paul designs Gibson has ever released.

The “Barely Finished Guitar” concept strips the Les Paul down to its raw essentials—delivering incredible resonance, light weight, and a powerful mix of tonal textures. Built in the USA, this model features a carved maple top over a chambered mahogany body with a thin satin finish that allows the wood to breathe freely.

The BFG’s distinctive pickup combination—a P-90 in the neck and a Burstbucker in the bridge—creates an exceptional tonal range, from warm, vintage cleans to aggressive rock crunch. The unbound rosewood fingerboard, no-pickguard design, and rugged feel give it an earthy, organic vibe that many players love. This example is in excellent condition, all original with the exception of the missing truss rod cover, and comes with a Gibson gig bag.

At Mahar’s Vintage Guitars, every instrument is fully inspected, photographed accurately, and professionally set up.  This guitar cooperated nicely and it plays great after crossing our bench.  There are no issues, changes, or repairs.  The neck is straight, and there is room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments.

There are multiple shipping cost options for purchases made on our site.  Select Ground, 3 Day, 2 Day, or Next Day Air Saver.  For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
