Vintage Bigsby-Style Gold Tremolo Tailpiece 1960s–70s Lawsuit Era Ibanez Kawai

This unbranded Bigsby-style gold tremolo tailpiece dates from the late 1960s to early 1970s and is the type commonly found on Japanese-made guitars by Ibanez, Kawai, Teisco, and other OEM builders of the era. Featuring classic cast aluminum construction with a vibrato arm and gold-plated hardware, this unit captures the aesthetic and functionality of early Bigsby vibratos but with the distinct charm of vintage Japanese craftsmanship. The patina on the gold finish is consistent with its age, showing light oxidation and wear that only adds to its authenticity and appeal.

Mechanically, the unit functions well with smooth vibrato action and spring tension. Ideal for restoring a vintage Ibanez, Kawai, or similar MIJ hollowbody or solidbody guitar, or for adding vintage flair to a custom build. These 1960s–70s Japanese tremolos have become increasingly collectible for their unique style and association with early lawsuit-era guitars.
