This 1962 Harmony Meteor H74 is a beautifully preserved example of one of the most iconic American-made hollowbody electric guitars of the early 1960s. Built in Chicago during Harmony’s golden era, the Meteor combines mid-century styling with surprisingly versatile tone.

Featuring a fully hollow maple body, bolt-on maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard with block inlays, it delivers warm resonance and articulate projection whether played clean or through a tube amp.

The twin DeArmond “Golden Tone” pickups produce rich, airy cleans and gritty vintage overdrive when pushed—making this model a favorite among roots, rockabilly, and blues players. The original sunburst finish retains a deep luster, accented by a raised tortoiseshell pickguard and chrome hardware. This example includes its original case and shows only light wear for its age, with all electronics functioning perfectly.

This is a particularly nice example that plays really well.  There are no changes or issues.  Frets show little wear.  These aren't boutique guitars that play like their Gibson or Fender counterparts, but this one plays as well as any we've seen.

The Harmony Meteor was used by Keith Richards and Dave Davies in the early British Invasion years. Its DeArmond pickups and fully hollow design gave it a raw, open sound that influenced early rock and blues tones. The H74 remains one of the most desirable Harmony models for collectors and players alike.
