These British made Vox amps from the 90s are coveted as modern and reliable versions of the 60s classics that are amazing amps but that require a lot of attention and maintenance when they're gigged or otherwise regularly used and carried about.
The AC15 is pretty much the ideal Vox circuit. A smaller version of the AC30, which is one of the best sounding amps and has its place in rock history, the AC10 gets you the tone at volume levels that are far more usable to most. The AC30 by comparison is a raging beast that moves more air than most players need.
This example is worn, proving my point that AC10s are go-to amps. However, the amp works perfectly and is ready to serve as your main machine.
The output transformer is a Mercury Magnetics replacement, something that most players change in amps of this era for better tone and reliability. It is my experience that the changing of transformers in 90s Vox amps does not change the value as it does in vintage examples.
