This vintage mandolin is in remarkably superb condition.  The original case is similarly well preserved.  It is the nicest example currently on the market.

Produced as a student-oriented model during Gibson's most prestigious mandolin making era.  Hand carved, solid woods make up the back and sides.  The top is spruce and the back and sides are birch.

As such, the instrument has the beautiful, warm and punchy tone you would expect.

There are no repairs, issues, or changes to the mandolin with the exception of an added strap button on the neck heel.  The original frets are very clean.  The neck angle is perfect - the action is low and extremely comfortable to play.

This is a fabulous piece for any collection.
