MJT Jazzmaster w/ Fender HSC

This MJT Jazzmaster is built around an alder body and a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard — a combination that produces the classic Jazzmaster tonal profile: clear, articulate highs, a firm low-mid punch, and enough warmth to handle clean and driven tones equally well. The Sunday Handwound pickups installed here — 6.89k at the neck, 8.48k at the bridge — deliver more output than a stock Jazzmaster, giving the bridge position more bite and the neck position a rounder, fuller voice without losing clarity. The Staytrem bridge keeps intonation stable and eliminates the buzz and slop that can plague stock Jazzmaster setups.

MJT (Mark's Johnson's Trunk) has built a strong reputation among offset enthusiasts as one of the best sources for aged, nitrocellulose-finished bodies and necks outside of Fender Custom Shop. Their bodies are routed to Fender spec, and this neck carries a "Licensed by Fender / Musikraft" stamp.  Musikraft is one of the premier US neck suppliers used by builders who demand precise geometry and consistent wood quality. The Jazzmaster platform (25.5" scale, floating tremolo, dual-circuit switching) remains one of the most versatile offset designs ever produced.

The body is alder, finished in Purple Sparkle. The rosewood fretboard has clay dot inlays, a 9.5" radius, and 21 frets. The nut is bone, cut to a 1-5/8" width. Kluson vintage-style tuners are fitted with no headstock modifications. The Staytrem bridge is a well-regarded aftermarket upgrade — properly engineered saddles with correct spacing (2.049") and a stable base.

Overall condition is very good. The body finish is very good with expected light wear consistent with use. The neck, fretboard, frets, and tuners are all in excellent condition. There are no repairs on the body or neck.

About the electronics: the rhythm circuit volume control is not functioning, but the tone control is. It appears that someone bought a pre-wired harness for this guitar and that rhythm volume control was never wired in. Everything else works as you would expect.  Action is 2/32" on both the first and sixth strings at the 12th fret, strung with 10-46s. Neck profile is a C shape, .857" at the first fret and .992" at the twelfth. Weight is 8 lbs 4.5 oz. Comes with a non-original Fender hard case in excellent condition. No documentation included.
