An important link in Mesa history - the Mark II, called the Mark IIa after the updated Mark IIb arrived.
This amp is as clean as they come. It has been serviced as well, getting a filter cap update. The work was professionally done within the last few months, prior to its arrival here.
I love these amps for their huge clean tone. They do get the gain as well, but for my taste the clean is just about unbeatable - big, warm and full, as loud as you want it. If I was gigging regularly I'd use this and a tweed or black panel Fender to get the best of both worlds, with my Ernie Ball volume/panning pedal allowing infinite variability between the Mesa and the Fender.
The amp is all original save the cap work that was done and the one missing EQ slider. The power tubes were replaced when the caps were done. We tested all the tubes and they all passed nicely.
NOTE: This amp will ship in several boxes. The weight of the transformers can distort the chassis if the amp is dropped in shipping. The speaker can do damage to the baffle as well. It is safer to split the speaker, chassis, and cab for shipping. It will require some work when you get the amp. If this is not for you, please do not make the purchase. It isn't complicated, but the chassis is heavy, and if you haven't done this before it could be a bit much. We can help over the phone, however.
