This very clean, 1986 Mesa Boogie Mark III amp is a real gem. There is a bump or nick here and there, but it is really, really clean for its age. It was also serviced by none other than Mike Bendinelli, affectionally known as "Mike B". He is the MB you see written in sharpie in so many Boogie amps.
Mike B performed the R2 Volume Mod on the amp, changing the Direct Out potentiometer to a master volume for the Rhythm 2 channel. This addresses a frustration for players using a stock Mark III - there was no way to easily set appropriate volume levels when switching to the Rhythm 2 channel.
At the same time, Mike did the reverb mod that everyone has done to these when they go in for service. Lastly, the amp was gone through there at Boogie to identify any out of spec caps, etc, and the previous owner reported that it came back sounding killer - as it does now!
The footswitches are included with the amp, but there are no supporting cables. They're easy enough to get out there in the world, and I think it is pretty likely that a Boogie freak who already has five of these is going to end up grabbing this one.
We will ship this in three boxes - one for the cab, one for the speaker, and one for the chassis. The weight of the transformers and the speaker are just too much, risking damage to the cab or the baffle when shipped together.
Just in case you want to ask - I won't do a discount to separate the chassis from the cab and speaker. For one, these amps keep getting more valuable and collectable. If you want to put the chassis in a head cab, keep the rest in your closet and remember thank me 20 years from now when you still have all the original stuff. And secondly, it wouldn't really save you much in the grand scheme of things.
