SOLD - Ludwig Drum Shell Kit Club Date 1965 Champagne Sparkle Keystone Incomplete

 Here we have a 1965 Ludwig Club Date shell kit in champagne sparkle.

Included is a 20"x14" kick drum, a 14"x14" floor tom and a 12"x8" rack tom.

There are no extraneous holes drilled in any of the shells.  The kit was a barn find, so there is some ageing to the wrap.  See the bass drum pics - that wrap took the worst of it, but it isn't nearly as bad as I've seen on other working kits.

Hardware included: stock rack tom mount on kick drum, kick drum legs, floor tom legs.

Missing hardware: The Ludwig cymbal stand mount that is a stock feature on the kick drum.  One tension rod on the floor tom.  Tension rods on one side of the rack tom.  I've been looking for these parts for a while but I've lost patience.  Perhaps someone out there has the stuff to make this complete.

Bass drum heads are old Ludwig branded.  Tom heads are probably too old to actually use.  Bass drum hoops need paint.  I saved the wrap inserts for the bass drum hoops - one was split but the full length of each is included.  One bass drum hoop was re-glued where it started to de-laminate.  The other hoop is showing signs that it is doing the same.

Hardware is remarkably clean for a barn kit find.  I spent a little time with a micro fiber cloth and some cleaning solution to clean things up.

Bearing edges look pretty good too.

Serial numbers fall in the 1965 range.
